Welcome to the Champagne hour! It’s too early for the bubbly stuff, so grab a cup of coffee and join us in a birthday toast.
Three years ago, when Rhonda first told me about her and RJ’s vision for The Wild Rose Press, I didn’t hesitate to sign up. “A publishing house by writers for writers,” as she says. What a great idea! I can’t believe how quickly those years have flown by—and how quickly TWRP has grown and prospered. I remember the first Champagne story I contracted, a beautifully written Rosette called “Words” by Terry Odell. Since that time, the Champagne team has had the privilege of reviewing and contracting scores of wonderful stories.
As senior editor, I’m thrilled to work with a dedicated group of editors: Cindy Davis, Renee Lynn, Kat O’Shea, Stephanie Parent, and Rebecca Terry. If you think your story meets our submission guidelines, we invite you to query us.

Great to meet you. Hope you have lots more GREAT works sent your way :)
Good morning, all! It's a pleasure to work in Champagne Rose as an editor under Roseanne, the grammar and punctuation guru. It's a bit early for me to be up. I'm a rose who prefers to work until the wee hours of the morning, then fall asleep as dawn is breaking, but I'm here to support our fearless leader and to start the morning off with my favorite group of editors and writers--the Champagne Roses! Yay!
Kat O'Shea
It's amazing to see how many lines Wild Rose Press has! I was introduced to WR by the talented Ms. Tracy Preston.
Wish I could be here all day Friends, but time to go.
Hopefully I'll be able to drop by this evening and who knows? Maybe I'll find a wireless connection during my lunch hour :-)
Have a BLESSED day!

As a reader of Champagne Rose, I know you contract only for the very best submissions. So many of my favorites comes from this line. I'm excited to see what is coming out in the future!
Hugs,
Amber
Champagne Rose is one of my very favorite lines to read. :) As a new author for TWRP Crimson Rose line (release date 09/02/09), I look forward to submitting to this line also. I currently have a story in the works that meets your guidelines. ;) With my schedule, it will be several months before my submission is polished and comes your way. I hope to have a very long romance writing relationship with various lines in your lovely garden. Happy Birthday!

So who picked this early hour?? LOL
I guess it was worth it to see the lovely roses--authors and readers--whose cheery messages are a great way to wake up.
Kat
Thank you, Tess. I'll look forward to your query. Good luck with your writing!

Maybe too early for bubbly by itself, but I know a lot of people who like Mimosa's. Bubbly OJ anyone?
Ladies, what is about contemporary romances that attracts you? What kind of stories can't you resist?
Roseann
A toast to all the Champagne roses!
Best wishes,
Lynda
I like to find stories with heroines that remind me of myself or that I have similar things in common with. That's one of the many things that attract me to contemporary romances.
Donna, bubbly OJ sounds good. Can I have my Lorna Doones with that? :-)
Roseann
Congratulations to The Wild Rose Press. I love to read--and write--contemporary romance, but my "line" and first love is the Cactus Rose. Nice work, champagne ladies--Celia Yeary
If anyone has any questions on the line, you can shoot me an e-mail. I'm always happy to talk to prospective--and current, of course--authors.
Roseann
Thanks, Celia! I have a soft spot for cowboys myself.

Happy Birthday, Wild Rose. I wish you many more years and lots of sales!
I know our hour is up (way too early for me on the West coast, sorry), but I wanted to pop in and say hello.
I love writing for Champagne Rose and TWRP. I hope to have a long and prosperous relationship in the garden. :)

Cheers and happy birthday!
I've been away from the computer today, and when I got back, I saw a Google Alert about me and my short story, the first outside contract from The Wild Rose Press.
Back then, neither they nor I knew what was going to grow in their garden. We took a chance on each other, and although the industry is changing, I think things are only going to get better here at The Wild Rose Press. One of those changes was in word count. That first story, "Words" was really two 900 word vignettes, a love story told from 2 different points of view. Given the economy, a story that short isn't viable in today's market. However, my other stories are still scattered through the garden, in Champagne and Last Rose of Summer.
These 3 years have zipped by.
