I...This was a great reminder for me about dialogue. I squirmed when I read about a character talking to themselves - urrrggghhhh, I do that all the time in my mss! Will remove, change, fix, whatever. Another thing I discovered about a hero's dialogue is that the alpha male generally does not use wishy-washy terms - no actually, hopefully, etc. Men usually state things and leave off the tags women will use.
